Has a closed gate strength rating of 12kN (2,698lbs) and a minor axis open gate strength of 8kN. The strength and lightweight performance are from its hot-forged construction.
SMOOTH FINISHED SURFACE
The locking carabiner has smooth contact surfaces for the better glide of attached items. The curved shape and form will prevent blisters or scratching yourself whilst handling.
LIGHT AND SMALL
The net weight is only 31g/1.09oz, compact size, length 3.19″/8.1cm, Width 1.69″/4.3cm, easy to carry which minimizing your carrying load. A Size of 3.19″ Heigh and 1.69″, with a 0.59″ gate opening.
MULTIPLE USE
One-handed operation is great for a keyring carabiner, or hammock hanging, yoga swing, locking adult dogs, hanging a punching bag. Or everyday carabiner key clip for rapid access to a bunch of keys (security guards etc.).

Auto Locking Carabiner 12kN
These are our most popular locking biners, the auto-lock Carabiner has a keylock nose gate, which provides secure locking. Easy to open, quick clip-on, and auto-close and lock using your thumb and index finger.
Product Details
Made from 7075 aluminum these auto-locking carabiners are lighter than steel. It works for medium-duty uses there are fewer forces and operating loads. It is lighter than steel carabiners owing to their material. You, thus, have less weight to carry while doing activities.
Weight
It has a 12 kN (2,698 lbs.) strength rating and a minor axis rating of 8kN on the minor axis. The net weight is 1.09oz, reducing the carrying load to the smallest. The vital component is often called the central axis at the middle of the sweeping bend. It is the region that can support most of the weight.
Size and Dimensions
It has a 3.94″ of height and 2.3″ of broad dimensions (at the widest point), 1.77″ width (narrowest point). Although the size and shape of a carabiner determine the gate range, it has a 0.59″ gate opening. The wide smooth opening allows for smoother rope glide.
Design and Shape
Built with a curved spine outline, it moves force to the locking carabiner’s spine away from the straight gate. Due to which it is the most robust carabiner form. And it is more versatile than a traditional symmetrical oval design. Designed to defend from snagging with a deep spine and keylock nose guards. The interface has a design that is simple to grip and also pleasant to carry and manage. With the spring-loaded configuration, the gate closes and locks automatically, making it easy to clip and re-lock to secure. With all carabiner devices, they are prone to wear and tear, so inspect before use.
Carabiner Features
It consists of a one-handed opening to rotate the barrel. The user can use the index finger and thumb to force the gate open, which features a keylock nose. You release the gates’ pressure so that the barrel’s spring will shut the gate. After the autolocking of the barrel to secures it.

Use Cases
The locking carabiners can be operated with one hand. This is not certified for climbing, therefore don’t use it as part of climbing gear or for a belay device, etc. Use for light lifting or carrying items, hanging equipment, hammocks, etc.

Finally decided to upgrade my standard carabiner. Found this newer model with an auto-locking feature and great reviews and thought it looked legitimate enough to try out. Glad I bought it. It definitely feels sturdy, and the auto-lock is nice. You twist with your fingers to open the carabiner, and when you let go it snaps back into locked position. The black and red look is sleek and strong, too. Not much else to add–this is a great product and you can tell once you hold it in your hands: it’s strong and durable. Comes with two carabiners. Highly recommended.

A strong, quality carabiner with a lock gate is essential for securing a pinch collar to a flat collar as a back up, in case a link on the pinch fails. An advantage of the twist gate lock over a more common screw gate is you can secure the carabiner with one hand which is important if your dealing with a 80 pound, struggling German Shepherd. The twist gate on this carabiner is of moderate quality and very difficult to open and close with one hand, defeating the purpose.The typical carabiner bought in the store for key chains, etc. is garbage and a gate failure is a common problem. This carabiner would be much more reliable as a key chain holder or to secure an item to a pack or luggage. As a dog collar or leash accessory, spend the extra money for a Camp USA, Petzl or Black Diamond brand. ABSOLUTELTY DO NOT USE THIS CARABINER FOR CLIMBING!

I use these to attach my keys to my jean’s belt loop. They work great. The locking mechanism is good enough to keep my key ring attached when I shift them into my pocket, which applies pressure to the latch. It’s also pretty easy to unlock so that I can quickly detach and reattach my keys to actually use them.
